Constituent Survey Results

Recently, I asked constituents to take a moment of their time and complete a survey focused on three of the nation’s top issues. Below you will find the results. I was extremely pleased with the number of individuals who responded to my survey and I hope even more will do so in the future. Question #1

Health care costs are hurting families. To help me understand how this affects you, check the items that are most important to you and your family:

37% - Health Insurance Premiums
28% - The cost of prescription drugs
24% - Dental costs
11% - Helping parents or grandparents with health care costs

Question #2

I’d like to hear your views on the Iraq War. Should we:

59% - Come up with a plan to turn over the country to Iraqis and set a timetable for withdrawal
22% - Withdrawal immediately
11% - Maintain the current strategy
8% - Send more troops

Question #3

The federal government needs to help middle-class families. Tell me what issues below are the most important to you and your family:

33% - Making America more energy independent and reducing gas prices
29% - Cutting taxes for middle income families
25% - Better protections of worker pensions and retirement security
13% - Expand financial aid assistance to families for college and trade schools
