Congressman Altmire’s Trip to Iraq

On August 28, Congressman Altmire traveled to Iraq with Reps. Kendrick Meek (FL), Michael Arcuri (NY) and Charles Boustany (LA). While in Iraq, Congressman Altmire met with a number of military and political officials including General David Petraeus, Ambassador Ryan Crocker, Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Salam al-Zubaie and U.S. service members from Pennsylvania. The Congressional delegation also toured a combat support hospital, watched an Iraqi security force training session and traveled outside of the Green Zone to Fallujah.
